Artists Retreats in Algeciras, Spain
Our retreats in Spain are held in our Spanish casa, complete with deluxe art studio overlooking the Punta Carnero nature park outside of Algeciras in the Cadiz province of Andalusia. With breathtaking views of the Strait of Gibraltar and Morocco, this is the southern-most tip of Europe closest to the African continent.
All art materials are provided, so let yourself dive into a week of color, creativity, delicious food and new friends. You will also have the opportunity to experience the local culture, and soak up the warm lifestyle and delicious cuisine of Andalusia, Spain.

Schedule
Arrive on Saturday afternoon, room check-in from 3pm-6pm. Welcome dinner Saturday evening starting at 7pm. Sunday-Friday are six full days of creative arts immersion and delicious food. Depart on Saturday after breakfast, check-out is before noon.
What's Included
- 7 nights full accommodations at local B&B's or hotel.
- 6 full days of painting & inspiration, Sunday through Friday (3+ hours in the morning, and 3-4 hours in the afternoon).
- 5 gourmet dinners (minimum 3 courses, with wine), made with fresh local ingredients (nightly except two evenings, when students dine on their own).
- 6 lunches with wine and dessert.
- Breakfast each morning with fresh breads, fruit & yogurt.
- Instruction and all materials and supplies are furnished for six full days of painting.
- Half-day sightseeing tour.
- Pick-up & drop-off at our local train or bus station in Algeciras.

If you book your 2024 retreat and pay the 500 € deposit before April 30, 2024, you will receive a discount of 300 € towards that retreat.

Significant Others and non-participating Guests
If you would like to bring someone with you but they will not be attending the class, the supplement for that person is 525€ on top of the private room rate. This includes private accommodations for the two of you plus breakfast each morning and dinner 5 of the evenings. (Lunches are not included for non-participating guests, as the lunchtime is a continuation of the workshop experience.)
Refunds
If you need to cancel your participation in the class for any reason, a 90% refund will be credited if we are notified at least 90 days before the start of class, 50% if notified at least 45 days before class, and no refund if notified less than 45 days before class.
Algeciras is in the Cadiz province of Andalusia, near the southern-most tip of Spain. You can fly into Malaga or Sevilla, both are about 1.5 hour drive from Algeciras (or 2-hours by bus). For our UK students, direct flights are available to Gibraltar which is about a 30 minutes bus ride to Algeciras. We provide pick-up and drop-off from the Algeciras bus and train station to your hotel.
