Artists Retreats in Quillan, France
Our retreats in France are held in the art studio in our home located in the lively small village of Quillan on the banks of the Aude river. We are situated less than one hour south of Carcassonne, and about 1 hour west of Perpignan. You will stay with us in our home in one of several beautiful private suites and our classes are limited to six students.
The retreats are designed for all levels of artists. The goal is to help you move your artwork forward, and deepen your creative self and it's ability to be expressed. You will also have the opportunity to experience the local culture, and soak up the nurturing lifestyle and delicious cuisine of Southern France and the Mediterranean.

Schedule
Arrive on Saturday afternoon, room check-in from 3pm-6pm. Welcome dinner Saturday evening starting at 7pm. Sunday-Friday are six full days of creative arts immersion and delicious food. Depart on Saturday after breakfast, check-out is before noon.
What's Included
- Seven nights full deluxe accommodations.
- Six full days of painting & inspiration, Sunday through Friday (3+ hours in the morning, and 3-4 hours in the afternoon).
- Five gourmet dinners (minimum 3 courses, with wine), made with fresh local ingredients (nightly except two evenings, when students dine on their own).
- Six lunches with wine and dessert.
- Breakfast each morning with fresh croissants, fruit & yogurt.
- Instruction and all materials and supplies are furnished for six full days of painting.
- Half-day sightseeing.
- Pick-up & drop-off at our local train station.

If you book your 2025 retreat and pay the 500 € deposit before December 31, 2024, you will receive a discount of 500 € towards that retreat.

Significant Others and non-participating Guests
If you would like to bring someone with you but they will not be attending the class, the supplement for that person is 525€ on top of the private room rate. This includes private accommodations for the two of you plus breakfast each morning and dinner 5 of the evenings. (Lunches are not included for non-participating guests, as the lunchtime is a continuation of the workshop experience.)
Refunds
If you need to cancel your participation in the class for any reason, a 90% refund will be credited if we are notified at least 90 days before the start of class, 50% if notified at least 45 days before class, and no refund if notified less than 45 days before class.
Quillan is located less than one hour south of Carcassonne, and about one hour west of Perpignan (both cities have regional airports). Train and bus service to Quillan is avalable from Toulouse (airport or downtown), Carcassonne airport, Perpignan or Paris.
